This gallery page covers the Las Vegas showgirl days of Hjördis Niven’s twin nieces Gudrun and Maj-lis Genberg.
The girls started out as models in Stockholm, before landing a three month contract to perform with the Folies Bergere in Las Vegas from January – March 1960. This was followed by hugely successful modelling careers in Paris (for Karl Lagerfeld) during 1961, and modelling, singing, dancing and movie careers in Rome.

The Genberg twins, featured in US magazine ‘Pageant’ in 1960. The two headshots were also used in ‘Playboy’ magazine for a feature called ‘Girls of Sweden’.
