These model shots of Hjördis Genberg mostly date between 1943-44, from her days with NK (Nordiska Kompaniet) Franska department in Stockholm. Greta Garbo also modelled for the company back in 1923 – for double their normal fee.
By July 1942, Hjördis was already the leading lady among the fashion models at NK’s Leja store, just a year after joining them as a student. “I love beautiful clothes, and the mannequin profession is the best there is,” she declared.
